Why can’t I access Practicing Musician from my school server?

You may not be able to access Practicing Musician from your school server for a few reasons:
  1. Your IT department needs to whitelist www.practicingmusician.com.
  2. Your IT department needs to whitelist Vimeo – the site that hosts our video tutorials.

To fix either issue, call your IT department and ask them to add the service (Practicing Musician and/or Vimeo) to your school’s whitelisted websites.

If your IT department informs you that neither website presents an issue, please email your issue to [email protected]. We will work with you to diagnose the problem and find a solution.

About the Author:

As a teacher and educator, I possess a unique background having studied music, psychology, neuroscience, and yoga. This synergistic education has provided a well-rounded and experiential understanding of how humans acquire and integrate knowledge. In terms of my personal musical journey, I started playing flute at age 4, moved to piano, then to alto saxophone before finding my passion in drums and percussion. Playing music begets a transcendent presence that can only be experienced through a deep mind, body, and spirit connection, making learning an instrument an ideal catalyst for growth. That is the simple truth that drives me and the primary gift I want to impart to others. With Practicing Musician, I am creating truly equitable access to world-class music education so every child has the opportunity to participate in a music program that speaks to their specific expressive needs and expands their aesthetic sensibilities.
