Hello! My name is Wesley – Sales Operations Manager at practicing Musician.

I am thrilled to share my musical journey with you. It all began in third grade when I picked up the viola, and from there, my love for music unfolded in unexpected ways. 

I eventually delved into learning all four instruments in the orchestra, exploring the violin, cello, and bass, creating a vibrant musical palette. High school introduced me to the rhythmic world of the electric bass in the jazz choir, offering a new avenue for creative expression.

During high school, I competed in multiple state competitions and won in trios as a bassist, playing with two cellists. We won by playing a very creative version of the Forest Gump theme. I also found joy in volunteering and playing in ensembles at nursing homes, using music to bring comfort and smiles to residents. However, life took me in different directions after graduation, and I paused from playing. Now that I represent Practicing Musician, I am eager to pick up where I left off.

Practicing Musician is a remarkable curriculum, making music education accessible to everyone. With lessons for 15 different instruments and more in the works, it’s a fantastic opportunity for learners to progress at their own pace. Inspired by my musical journey, I am enthusiastic about reigniting my passion for playing and sharing this incredible resource with others.

My musical journey has blended exploration, passion, and a newfound excitement to rekindle my love for playing. From the gentle notes of the viola to the rhythmic beats of the electric bass, each instrument has contributed to the unique melody of my life. Now, as I represent Practicing Musician, I am eager to inspire others to embark on their musical adventures and discover the transformative power of music.
