Valerie Coolidge, Junior and Senior High Music Program Director in Oroville, Washington, and Stanislaw Hoholuk, Music Teacher at Bishop Kearney High School in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Rochester, New York.

Valerie and Stanislaw each won $100 Amazon gift cards.

When asked what she will be doing with her gift card, Coolidge said, “A quick look through Amazon music items available showed me a very nice directing baton, a portable director’s music stand, and a t-shirt for choir directors that says ‘I hear voices!’ ”

As for Hoholuk, “With the gift card, I know there will be a need when we start the new school year, so I’m just waiting to see what is most immediate. Thanks again!”

According to founder and CEO, Jake Douglass, “Practicing Musician is honored to be able to serve educators in every way possible. Teaching tools, training, funding, giveaways – anything we can do to help create more equity in music education.”

Practicing Musician wants to sincerely thank our partners Give a Note Foundation and NEMC, as well as our sponsor, Gator Cases, for helping Practicing Musician present our first annual summer symposium, “Your Passion, Their Success!” completely free of charge. With their help, we were able to provide a valuable day of professional development to music educators across the United States.

Video recordings of the Symposium sessions are available, as well as the opportunity to sign up for free training sessions each week.

Practicing Musician is also proud to be a corporate member of NAfME:

With schools everywhere unsure of where they stand in September and critical programs at risk, it is more important than ever to make sure students have access to instruments and quality online music education. This is at the core of Practicing Musician’s Vision, “Every person everywhere joyfully engaged in music.” Learn more about Practicing Musician HERE.
