Webinar Schedule for At-Home Learning

Many people have found themselves stuck at home for an unknown length of time due to the coronavirus pandemic. The silver lining is that there’s no better time to be creative than when you’re stuck at home! I know money is tight for a lot of people right now, so I’ve decided to give Practicing Musician’s world-class instrumental music education away for free during school and work closures.

I will host two live webinars via zoom video conference each day to teach at-home learners how to use Practicing Musician. Webinars will last about 15 minutes with time for question and answers at the end. Below are the scheduled webinars for the next two weeks. I will schedule additional webinars if there is still a demand after the next two weeks.

About the Author: Jake Douglass

As a teacher and educator, I possess a unique background having studied music, psychology, neuroscience, and yoga. This synergistic education has provided a well-rounded and experiential understanding of how humans acquire and integrate knowledge. In terms of my personal musical journey, I started playing flute at age 4, moved to piano, then to alto saxophone before finding my passion in drums and percussion. Playing music begets a transcendent presence that can only be experienced through a deep mind, body, and spirit connection, making learning an instrument an ideal catalyst for growth. That is the simple truth that drives me and the primary gift I want to impart to others. With Practicing Musician, I am creating truly equitable access to world-class music education so every child has the opportunity to participate in a music program that speaks to their specific expressive needs and expands their aesthetic sensibilities.
